My skin is itchy and it is affecting my daily life. I am curious about how to manage it.

Lately, I've been struggling with itchy skin. I haven't used any new cosmetics or detergents, but my skin often gets itchy for no reason. It gets worse at night, disrupting my sleep. When I scratch, my skin turns red and irritated, and the discomfort persists until the next day. I'm not sure if it's due to dryness or if it's due to another cause, like an allergic reaction. I'm also wondering if lifestyle or environmental factors are also contributing factors. I try to apply moisturizer diligently, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference, which is frustrating. If anyone has had a similar experience, I'd like to hear how you managed it, or if it's really necessary to see a dermatologist.
