I'm in my mid-30s and have dark spots and freckles. Are you maintaining a good picotoning routine? Could you please advise on the price and frequency?
Now that I'm in my mid-30s, I can definitely see a noticeable increase in freckles and blemishes every time I look in the mirror. In my 20s, acne scars would fade quickly, but now, even the ones that do appear are permanently lingering. My skin tone also seems to be dulling overall, so I can't help but take care of my skin.
So I'm getting toning treatments, but the problem is that I go too infrequently. Up until now, I haven't had a set schedule for pico toning treatments. I just go when I get a text message from a dermatologist about a special event or when there's a special price, and I just do 10 sessions and go. Sometimes I go once a week, and when I'm busy, I take a break for over a month.
It definitely feels brighter for a few days after receiving it, but if I take a break for too long, I feel like I'm going back to being a mess. I've heard from people around me that it's much more effective to stick to the recommended picotoning cycle and receive it consistently, rather than receiving it irregularly like I did. After all, the process of breaking down and expelling pigments needs to be repeated regularly, and I regret doing it too intermittently.
I've heard that many people get their pico toning done every 1-2 weeks, but what's the most effective pico toning cycle for removing freckles and blemishes? And if I go every week, the cost is significant. Should I go somewhere that does a thorough job rather than a cheap factory-style procedure? Or, since toning is machine-washed, should I consider cost-effectiveness?
For those in their mid-30s who are taking care of their skin, how do you schedule picotoning treatments? What's a reasonable price range for 10 sessions? And if consistent use really helps fade blemishes, please share your experiences!
