How often do you do picotoning for freckles?

I think it got worse because I got a lot of sunlight in the summer, and I'm upset because it doesn't hide well with makeup.

My skin is dull, so my confidence is plummeting. I'm already aging, but it makes me look even older...

I looked it up and it seems like pico toning is the most popular treatment, but there's so much information out there it's hard to find everything.
