Yesterday, I came home late after chatting with friends for the first time in ages. In the past, I would've just washed my face and gone to sleep. But now that I'm in my thirties, sometimes I dread looking in the mirror the next morning. So, no matter how tired I am, I've developed a routine where I dedicate just 10 minutes to shaping my face. It's nothing fancy, but I keep a basket of my favorite home care products by my bed, like gua sha and a massage roller. I turn off the lights, turn on the mood lighting, listen to my favorite song, and gently rub my face along my jawline and neck. It was a hassle at first, but the difference between doing it and not doing it is noticeable, from the puffiness around my eyes to the way I wake up in the morning. My skin tone also looks much clearer. Honestly, I think the daily habit of taking care of myself is more important than any fancy equipment or technique. While it's great to make the commitment to a treatment, the thought that these 10 minutes of dedicated care every night will add up and shape my impression in a few years makes me even more diligent.
