Are contouring injections effective?

I'm stressed that my chubby cheeks make my face look big, so I'm considering contouring injections. Is the effect noticeable? I don't have a lot of fat, but my face lines look round in photos, which bothers me. I'm also curious how many sessions are usually needed to see results and if the swelling lasts a long time!
