Inquiry on how to manage cold urticaria, where the face swells up like a mosquito bite when exposed to cold wind
In the mornings and evenings of late autumn, when temperatures drop sharply, whenever I go out, my cheeks and forehead, exposed to the cold air, swell up unevenly like mosquito bites (wheals), accompanied by intense itching and a burning sensation. Although the swelling subsides after an hour or two once I come indoors and warm up, it is accompanied by facial edema—swelling around the eyes and lips—every time I go out, causing significant stress in my daily life. Thinking it was just dry skin, I tried applying a highly moisturizing cream, but since it is a reaction caused by temperature changes, it had absolutely no effect. I would like to inquire if there are any physical barrier skincare products available to protect skin temperature and block external cold before going out, dermatological antihistamine treatments to stabilize mast cells and skin nerves sensitive to cold air, or skin boosters or soothing treatments to strengthen skin tolerance and the immune barrier.
