Are the effects of the contouring injections natural?

I feel like my face looks wide in photos because of my chubby cheeks, so I'm looking into contouring injections. However, I'm hesitant about seeing a drastic change. Is it possible to achieve a look where the swelling just goes down naturally? I'm also curious how many sessions are usually needed to see noticeable results, and if the effects tend to last a short time.
