I'm worried about removing my arm hair this summer. Should I get a consultation at a dermatology clinic?
Now that it's summer and I'm wearing short sleeves more often, I've suddenly become really self-conscious about my arm hair. I usually just ignored it, but it seems like it shows up better than I thought in the sunlight. Even when I go to cafes with friends or take photos, I find myself 괜히 trying to hide my arms.
I've tried trimming my hair with a razor at home, but after a few days, it would get prickly and my skin felt a bit dry. So lately, I've been looking into laser hair removal at a dermatology clinic. I expect the cost for my entire arms to be quite high, and I'm also wondering how many sessions would be needed to see results.
Has anyone here consulted about arm hair removal due to summer skin concerns? Since it is my first time getting arm hair removal, I would like to know if it is painful, if redness lasts a long time afterward, and if it is safe to get it done in the summer. I want to tidy up a bit before wearing short sleeves, but I am worried that if I start now, managing the aftercare might be even harder.
