Even if I receive treatment for melasma, can it get darker again if my lifestyle habits remain the same?

Lately, I've really been noticing that my skin isn't what it used to be. The dark spots on my cheekbones are becoming particularly noticeable, so it bothers me every time I look in the mirror.

So, I’ve been looking into various options while considering whether to get melasma treatment this time. As I read reviews, I noticed many people saying that while treatment is important, managing your daily lifestyle habits is also really crucial.

I suddenly became curious: even if my skin has improved significantly after receiving melasma treatment, could the melasma darken again if I go back to my old lifestyle?

I usually apply sunscreen, but I tend not to go as far as wearing a hat or using a parasol when I go out. Also, since I spend quite a lot of time outdoors in the summer, I am curious if this has a significant impact.

For those of you who have received treatment for melasma, did you significantly change your lifestyle habits after the treatment? I would like to know if there were any other areas you needed to pay attention to besides UV protection.

I'm also curious whether you consistently did home care after receiving melasma treatment, or if you were able to maintain a satisfactory condition for a long time without any special care.

If anyone has experience with this, please share the care method you found most effective. I would like to use it as a reference before I start.
