I honestly want to know how painful laser hair removal is.

I am an office worker in my 30s considering laser hair removal because my skin has been severely irritated after self-hair removal. I really want to try it because I've seen many reviews saying that hair barely grows back and the skin becomes smooth. However, I am worried because I tend to be a bit of a crybaby and have sensitive skin, so I can't tolerate pain well. I am wondering if the pain is bearable if I apply anesthetic cream before the procedure. How much pain is typically felt when laser hair removal is performed on sensitive areas like the philtrum or bikini line? I would greatly appreciate it if those who have actually undergone laser hair removal could share their honest experiences to help me make a decision. Please also share any tips you have for reducing the pain.
