I'm worried because I have bumpy rashes not only on my face but also on my arms and neck.
At first, I thought it was just dead skin buildup, so I moisturized diligently and even tried peeling products, but there wasn't much change. It seems to get better for a few days, but then the bumps keep popping up again; this cycle repeats. Especially when I wear makeup, my facial skin texture doesn't look smooth, and I can see small bumps on my arms and neck up close, so it bothers me even more in the summer.
I searched online and found some mentioning keratosis pilaris, while others suggested it could be closed comedones caused by sebum or dead skin cells, which makes me even more confused. I am curious if it can occur on the face, arms, and neck simultaneously, and I would also like to know if it can be improved with home care alone.
I am refraining from touching or squeezing them because I am afraid it will only lead to hyperpigmentation or scarring, but it keeps happening, which is frustrating. In this case, what kind of treatments or care at a dermatology clinic would be helpful? I would like to hear from those with experience on whether I need procedures like skin boosters, lasers, or peels, or if improvement is possible with just consistent moisturizing and exfoliation. If anyone has had similar symptoms and saw improvement, please advise on which methods were effective.
