I am worried about my heels, which are extremely dry.
Now that summer has arrived, I wear sandals or slippers often and even walk around the house barefoot, so I'm really self-conscious about my heels. They were already on the dry side, but lately they've been flaking white and feeling so rough that it's embarrassing to look at.
Every evening after showering, I meticulously apply lotion to moisturize not only my face and body but also my feet. However, the hydration only lasts for that moment, and by the next day, my heels have returned to being dry. It seems like lotion alone isn't enough for moisturization, and I'm struggling to figure out how to properly care for them.
Especially in the summer, I spend a lot of time walking barefoot and wearing sandals often, so my heels are exposed and I am more self-conscious about them. I have also heard that removing dead skin too frequently is not good, so I am confused about the correct way to manage them.
Have you ever struggled with dry heels like me and found any effective methods? I'm wondering if products like foot cream, moisturizing socks, or Vaseline are suitable. Please let me know if there are any easy at-home care tips or product recommendations. I really want to be able to wear sandals confidently this summer.
