I feel like my melasma is getting darker, so I am considering getting a treatment.
I've tried various whitening creams and taken vitamins, but I'm not sure if I'm just insensitive or if I just didn't see any results. It feels like I just wasted money. So now I keep debating whether to get a procedure done, but when I search online, there are so many options—some say laser toning is good, others say Pico toning is good, and there's IPL—that it's making me even more confused.
Also, I read some posts saying that melasma can get darker if you mess with it incorrectly, while others say their condition improved dramatically after just a few sessions... I really don't know what the right answer is. There are so many clinics, so I'm also worried about where to go.
Has anyone here had melasma treatment? I'm curious how many sessions were needed to see results. I have no idea if one or two sessions are enough, or if I need close to ten. My skin is on the sensitive side, so I'm also worried about my face turning red or developing hyperpigmentation after the procedure.
I am also curious whether melasma disappears completely or if it only fades. I can't easily make a decision because I'm worried that I might spend a lot of money for nothing and it won't be effective. If anyone has actually received this treatment, please share an honest review of what procedure you underwent and whether you were satisfied. I am still debating whether just getting a consultation at the clinic would be sufficient.
