I'm about to start acne treatment, and I'm wondering if extraction is a necessary step.
Lately, every time I look in the mirror, I'm really bothered by the pimples popping up one by one around my chin and cheeks. It's not like my skin has completely broken out, but since it keeps happening, it's causing me a lot of stress.
I've tried managing it on my own by washing my face thoroughly and changing my cosmetics, but there hasn't been much change, so now I'm considering getting acne treatment.
While searching online, I noticed that extraction is often performed as part of acne treatment, and I am wondering if it is a necessary step. I’ve seen many posts saying that extraction is painful and makes the skin redder, so I’m a bit worried.
For those of you who have received acne treatment, did you have extractions done from the beginning? Or I am also curious if the procedure depends on the condition of the skin.
I would also like to know if I feel my skin improving immediately after starting acne treatment, or if there is a period where it actually worsens in the beginning.
I also have a habit of touching my acne whenever I get it, so I'm hoping this part will improve as well haha.
I would like to make a decision after hearing the experiences of those who have actually received acne treatment. Please feel free to share everything you were satisfied with and anything you found lacking!
