I am thinking about starting acne treatment, but I am worried whether it is okay to start now or if I should wait a little longer.
My skin wasn't exactly great to begin with, but I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant visiting a dermatologist. However, over the past month or two, acne has started popping up continuously around my chin and cheeks. As soon as one clears up, another appears in a different spot, and the red marks linger for a long time, so it bothers me every time I look in the mirror.
At first, I thought it might be due to stress, so I tried getting plenty of rest, drinking lots of water, and switching to gentler skincare products, but I didn't see as much change as I expected. So now, I am wondering if it would be better to get acne treatment rather than trying to manage it on my own.
However, since my entire face isn't in a severe condition yet, I keep debating whether it is right to start now or if I should wait a little longer before getting treatment. I don't want to start too late and end up with scars, but on the other hand, I also worry that I might be rushing into it unnecessarily.
When I read acne treatment reviews online, I get even more confused because some say it's best to start managing it quickly if it recurs even slightly, while others suggest changing your lifestyle habits first.
Has anyone else started acne treatment in the early stages like me? I am curious if starting back then was very helpful. I would also like to know how long it took for the new breakouts to decrease while receiving treatment.
I am also curious if your skin became very dry during the acne treatment, and if it was okay to continue using your usual cosmetics. I would also like to hear if there were any specific precautions you needed to take after the treatment.
I'm really worried that if I keep putting it off, I might end up with marks or scars. If anyone has actual experience, I would be incredibly grateful if you could freely share what motivated you to start and your satisfaction level!
