Would laser treatment or scaling help with recurring folliculitis at the hairline and forehead boundary?
Hello. For the past few months, I have been repeatedly getting red, acne-like folliculitis along my hairline, at the boundary where my forehead meets my scalp.
When I squeeze it, yellow pus comes out, and just when I think it is healing, bumpy spots pop up in the same spot again, accompanied by subtle pain and itching, which is causing me a lot of stress. Even changing the shampoo or cleansing foam I usually use only provides temporary relief and does not resolve the issue fundamentally.
I am wondering if I need to receive professional care at a dermatology clinic, such as scaling, extraction, or specialized laser treatment to reduce folliculitis, for it to improve. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know if it is related to seborrheic dermatitis or other conditions!
