Do you start to feel the effects of acne treatment by seeing a decrease in new breakouts? Haha.
If my skin were just bad for a day or two, I'd let it slide, but it's been the same pattern for months, so now I'm really starting to think I need to get some proper skincare.
My skin isn't the type to break out severely all over my cheeks; instead, I tend to get one or two constantly popping up on my chin and around my mouth. The problem is that another one pops up right next to it before the previous one even subsides, haha. Because of that, I always seem to have at least one pimple on my face.
I used to think that taking care of my skin at home would be enough, so I changed my facial cleanser and tried using soothing products. I also cut down on late-night snacks and changed my pillowcases more often, but honestly, I don't notice much of a difference haha.
So these days I'm looking into acne treatments.
What I'm curious about is what change appears first when acne treatment starts. I'm wondering if the existing acne subsides quickly, or if the frequency of new breakouts decreases first.
Personally, I find it more stressful to have new breakouts appear than to have the ones I already have, so I would be really satisfied if it were effective in reducing new skin troubles.
Also, is it too early to judge the effectiveness of acne treatment after only one or two sessions? I see many reviews saying they received treatment consistently for several months, so I'm wondering how long I should expect to last from the start.
I've seen that treatments like extraction are sometimes performed as well, but I would like to know if this isn't done in the same way every time, or if it varies depending on the current skin condition.
Did you change your home care routine a lot while receiving acne treatment? I'm also curious if it was okay to continue using your usual products, or if you kept your basic skincare routine as simple as possible.
If anyone has received acne treatment for recurring issues around their chin and mouth, please let me know when you started noticing changes!! I would also like to hear about the results you were satisfied with :)
