I'm wondering how often I need to receive acne treatment to feel like my skin is stabilizing.

I've hardly ever been to a dermatologist consistently, so I don't really understand the concept of a cycle, haha.

I am writing this post because I am wondering if I should manage acne whenever it pops up, or if I need to receive acne treatment at regular intervals from the beginning.

My skin has actually been more of a problem since becoming an adult than it was when I was a student. Especially on weeks when I'm not feeling well or haven't gotten enough sleep, acne pops up on my cheeks or chin, and once it appears, the red marks linger for quite a long time.

It was difficult to determine when to manage them because sometimes they would be fine for a while, but then suddenly three or four would pop up.

So, I'm wondering if it's better to go on a fixed schedule until my skin completely stabilizes once I start acne treatment.

Does the interval between treatments vary depending on the type—whether it is received weekly or with a gap of about two weeks or a month?

I'm also curious if you manage your skin by gradually extending the treatment intervals as your skin improves significantly after consistently receiving acne treatment.

Because of my job, it seems realistically a bit difficult for me to go to the dermatologist every week, so I would like to know a general routine before I start.

Also, if your skin turns red right after the treatment, I think it would be better to get it on the weekend rather than on a weekday. How did working professionals actually schedule their appointments? Haha.

I’ve heard a lot about how acne treatment requires consistent, long-term care, but I don’t think I’ll have to keep getting it done frequently for the rest of my life, haha. I’m wondering if it’s possible to maintain my skin mainly through home care once it stabilizes to some extent.

If anyone has been receiving acne treatment for several months or more, please let me know how your treatment cycle changed from when you first started to after your skin improved.

I would also like to get started without any difficulty by referring to actual management patterns!! ^^
