I'm worried about laser treatment for freckles.

I'm seriously considering getting laser treatment for freckles because I'm so stressed out about them ㅠㅠ Every day when I look in the mirror, the first thing I notice are the blotchy freckles, and I'm tired of covering them up with concealer.. I looked up reviews from dermatologists and found that many people said they saw the effects of the freckle laser, but others said it wasn't as effective as expected or that their freckles got darker, so I'm worried.
