Pigment Laser Aftercare Question

When can I wash my face or wear makeup after getting laser treatment for blemishes? I'm getting worried because some reviews mention scabs forming. I'm also wondering if I absolutely need to apply a regenerating cream, and I'd like to know how much attention I should pay to sun protection!
