For those of you with keloid scars on your chin, is it okay to get laser treatment at a dermatology clinic? ㅠㅠ

I first realized I have keloid-prone skin when the area behind my ears swelled up after I got them pierced a while ago. Recently, I roughly picked at a large pimple on my chin, and now that spot has become slightly red and raised on a hard bump. It looks like I've formed a keloid scar on my chin. I'm worried that visiting a dermatologist for standard treatments like laser treatments for blemishes or toning in this condition might cause irritation. I'm afraid that if I get a laser treatment done incorrectly, the scar might get bigger or my skin might break out, so I haven't been able to make an appointment yet. Sob... If anyone with similar skin types has any advice on how they usually manage their dermatological care, please let me know.
