Is it normal for dead skin cells to peel after laser treatment?

It's been a few days since my toning treatment, and my skin feels slightly dry with a flaky texture. I'm worried if this is a normal process or if I might be damaging my skin for no reason. I'm also wondering if it would get better if I moisturized more diligently than usual.
