I've been really worried about my flushing lately.
I used to not blush easily, but maybe because I'm getting older, I've been getting flushed more frequently lately, and it's starting to bother me. Especially when it's cold outside and I come indoors, my cheeks get flushed, and even the slightest bit of tension or fatigue makes my face flush. The flushing seems to get worse on days when I work overtime and don't get enough sleep.
After losing some weight, my skin became thinner, perhaps because of this, but my cheeks always look red when I apply makeup, so I end up having to apply foundation multiple times. It used to be okay if I covered it up, but these days, even with makeup on, the redness shows through, so I'm self-conscious every time I go out. People around me say it could be due to blood vessels or a weakened skin barrier, but I'm not sure which is true.
I looked it up and found that facial flushing isn't just a simple skin problem; it's also influenced by lifestyle, age, and skin condition. I'm not sure if it can be improved with treatment, or if I should consider dermatological procedures. If anyone else, like me, suddenly experienced severe facial flushing, I'd love to hear about any treatments or management that helped.
