Do you go to the hospital immediately when your skin breaks out after using new cosmetics?

I applied a new ampoule a few days ago, and starting the next day, small bumps began to appear on my cheeks.
At first, I thought it was just a coincidence, so I applied it one more time, but the next day it felt slightly itchy and turned red. I stopped using it immediately, but I'm worried because the breakouts aren't subsiding easily.
In this case, is it better to wait while soothing the skin at home? Or would it be better to visit a dermatologist early on?
