By any chance, can a dermatologist treat painful, hard-to-catch scalp acne?
For the past few days, I’ve developed a few hard, swollen bumps (folliculitis) on the crown and back of my head that won't go away. They hurt a lot to the touch when I wash or comb my hair. Since they are in an area I can't really see in the mirror, I can't pop them myself. It stings so much that it brings tears to my eyes every time I brush against them while shampooing, and I'm so stressed out. I looked it up and read that if left untreated, it could lead to hair loss in that area, so I'm really scared. If I go to a dermatologist, will they perform scaling or give an anti-inflammatory injection for these kinds of scalp pimples? I'm worried that getting an injection on the scalp might be too painful. If anyone has tried this treatment, please leave a comment with a real review about how it usually worked. I'm so scared to go to the hospital.
