I'm wondering if the red marks improve along with the acne after treatment.
I'm more stressed about the remaining red marks than the acne that's popping up right now, haha.
I used to think that once the breakouts subsided, it would be over, but once the acne actually disappeared, red marks would remain in their place for weeks.
Especially since there are several marks layered on top of each other on my cheeks, my skin looks messy overall even though I don't actually have much acne.
It's often annoying when I do my makeup because covering up every single blemish with concealer makes it look thick, and then by the afternoon, they all show up again lol.
So this time, instead of just waiting at home, I'm thinking of getting acne treatment.
What I'm wondering is if I can manage the current breakouts and red marks at the same time once I start acne treatment.
New acne still pops up occasionally, so I'm not sure if I should start managing the marks separately.
Do you usually treat the acne first to stabilize new breakouts, and then start managing the scars?
Or I'm curious if they sometimes do both together depending on skin condition haha.
The red marks tend to last a long time for me, so I'm afraid to squeeze them out because I'm worried they might get darker if I touch them.
For those of you who have received acne treatment, did you notice the red marks fading over time?
I don't expect dramatic changes after just one or two sessions, but I'm curious if the difference will be noticeable in photos after consistent care for a few months.
I also want to know if I need to be more meticulous with sunscreen or basic skincare while the marks are present.
If there are others like me who didn't have severe acne but whose face constantly looked red due to the marks, please share your experience with what kind of acne treatment you received!!
While reducing new breakouts is important, my biggest goal is for the red marks to clear up, so I'm also curious about the actual recovery period haha.
