I would like to inquire about a consultation for soothing care for skin troubles around the chin and an imbalance of oil and moisture during the change of seasons (Aqua Peel & Cryo treatment cycles and tips for combining with home care).
Hello. With the weather suddenly dropping below freezing and becoming dry, I feel like my skin's oil-moisture balance has completely collapsed, so I am asking for a consultation regarding skin care treatments. I usually only experienced mild dryness, but recently, after being exposed to cold winds and turning on indoor heating, I feel severe inner tightness on my cheeks, while small bumps and red, inflammatory breakouts have started appearing around my chin and mouth. I have been trying my best to soothe my skin at home with gentle moisturizers and hydrating toners, but perhaps because old dead skin cells are clogging my pores, the moisturizer just sits on the surface and the breakouts do not subside easily. I am worried that harsh extractions or peels might thin my skin barrier, so I am considering getting hydrating and soothing treatments at Maypure. These include an Aqua Peel to gently clear impurities from the pores, a Cryo Soothing Treatment to reduce heat, or LDM Waterdrop Lifting. I am curious to know what soothing treatment programs you typically recommend for skin conditions like mine during the change of seasons, where the inside is dry while the outside is breaking out. Also, I would appreciate advice from those with experience on roughly how often to schedule exfoliation and moisturizing/soothing treatments to minimize stress on the skin, and how to combine this with home care using gentle moisturizing creams or soothing ampoules from my vanity after the procedure to help the effects last longer!
CommentsI can relate to your concern about looking into hospital care because squeezing at home seems to leave worse marks; as I also have acne-prone skin, this feels like a relatable situation. Among the questions you summarized, whether to take a break from exfoliating products or retinol during the treatment period is something I was also curious about. Since the area comes into contact with a scarf, I suggest asking about the material and washing frequency during the consultation as well.
CommentsI'm also worried because I have small pimples on my forehead. It seems like it might be worse because of the changing seasons, so I think I should look into it more and go for a consultation.
CommentsI totally relate because I've been getting tiny bumps on my jawline lately too. Even though I make sure to apply soothing line products, they don't seem to go down. I'm curious to know what kind of care you would recommend.
CommentsI'm also stressed because I keep getting acne, but it seems like getting laser treatments consistently is important.
I think it will get better after receiving more than 10 sessions.
CommentsI imagine you are really curious if you can manage both blackheads and acne at the same time. It would be a good idea to consult with them to see if they can be treated together after assessing your skin condition.
