Is laser treatment the answer to facial redness and flushing that worsens with every change of season?
As the weather gets chilly lately, my skin tone looks particularly dull and red, so I'm worried.
The areas around my nostrils and the inner parts of my cheeks tend to be redder than other parts, and the redness seems to become more pronounced immediately after washing my face or when there is a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. At first, I thought it was because my skin was dry, so I focused on moisturizing, but it didn't improve as much as I expected.
Even if I cover it with foundation, the redness becomes noticeable again after a while, and since my skin tone is uneven, my makeup doesn't look neat, which bothers me.
So I'm thinking of getting a consultation at a dermatology clinic, but I have a few questions.
First of all, I would like to know how to distinguish whether this redness is due to simple skin dryness, or if it is caused by dilated capillaries or chronic flushing. I assume the treatment method will vary depending on the cause.
Will receiving a redness laser or a vascular laser help to even out my skin tone? My skin is on the sensitive side, so I am worried that the redness might worsen or become dry after the procedure.
I am also curious about how many sessions are usually needed to see a change, the treatment intervals, and the recovery period. I would also like to find out the cost in advance.
Has anyone else experienced severe redness around their nose or cheeks during the change of seasons like me and sought treatment at a dermatologist?
I would be very grateful if you could share your experience regarding what procedures you received and how much your skin tone actually improved!
