Is diet also important for improving skin?

My skin condition has been inconsistent lately, so I've been thinking about the various causes. I'm wondering if my diet has a significant impact. Recently, I've definitely felt like breakouts occur on days when I eat a lot of instant or spicy food. So, I'm considering adjusting my diet, but I'm curious if it is actually effective. I've heard a lot about how drinking plenty of water and eating mainly vegetables improves skin, but I want to know if it's noticeable enough to feel the difference. If anyone has experienced skin improvement after changing their eating habits, please share!
