My face feels tight after turning on the heater on Sunday mornings. How do you apply regenerating cream after laser treatment?

It is Sunday this morning, but it was quite chilly outside, so I slept with the heating on all night. I was surprised to find my face felt tight after washing it. I heard that when the indoor environment becomes dry, it is easy to experience internal dryness where the skin feels oily on the outside but tight underneath. So these days, I follow a routine where I apply a hydrating serum within three minutes of washing my face, followed by a layer of moisturizing cream on top to lock in the skin barrier.
Last month, I received laser treatment for blemishes on my cheeks, and the dryness was particularly severe for the first week after the procedure. As instructed, I took a break from exfoliating and applied a thin layer of regenerating cream two or three times a day, and the redness subsided much faster. I also learned this time that it is better to apply regenerating cream frequently in thin layers rather than applying a large amount at once.
I have a few questions. Would it be better to space out laser treatments a bit more than usual during the winter? Also, for those who sleep with the heating on, do you use a humidifier or hang a wet towel? I would also like to know how you manage your skin barrier during the changing seasons.
