It has been a few days since my laser treatment, and my face is red. I'm worried that the flushing will last.

I recently had a laser treatment at a dermatology clinic, but I'm worried because the redness is lasting longer than I expected.

I wasn't too worried because I heard that it is normal for the skin to turn red right after the procedure. However, even after a few days, my face is still red, and I can even feel a burning sensation, especially around my cheeks, so it is really bothering me.

Usually, I'm fine, but my face feels like it flushes quickly when it's a little hot indoors or I'm exposed to cold wind outside. The redness seems even more prominent after washing my face, so I'm worried that my skin might be over-irritated.

How can you distinguish between temporary erythema that appears after a laser procedure and flushing caused by side effects?

I am also wondering how many days it usually takes for the skin color to return to normal, and if the redness persists, whether I need to receive further treatment at the clinic where I had the procedure.

Currently, I am avoiding irritating cosmetics and focusing on moisturizing creams. Would it be helpful to use a regenerating cream or a soothing product in addition?

I also want to know if it is okay to apply a cold compress when the heat sensation is severe, and if it would be better to avoid activities that can raise skin temperature, such as washing my face or exercising, for the time being.

Has anyone experienced prolonged redness and heat sensation after a laser procedure?

I am curious to hear about your experience regarding how long it took for it to subside and what kind of care you took.

If the redness hasn't subsided for several days like mine, I think it might be best to get your condition checked at a hospital rather than just waiting. I'm really worried that the flushing might linger for a long time.
