I have small indented scars on my cheeks. Can they be improved?

I didn't really care about it before, but when I took a picture, the surface of my skin looked uneven and seemed to have pits here and there, so it bothered me.
It is difficult to tell if these areas are actual acne scars or if the pores have simply widened.
I've heard that treatments like Fraxel or subcision are used for pitted scars, but does the treatment method vary depending on the shape and depth of the scar?
Also, I heard that scar treatment requires multiple sessions to see results. How long should I usually expect the treatment to take?
Even if it is difficult to get rid of it completely, I would like to improve my skin enough to make it look a little smoother. I am wondering what treatment would be suitable.
