My makeup was cakey and my dead skin cells were a hopeless mess, so I finally went to a dermatologist. There really is a wide variety of treatments available.
Wow... I don't know if it's because of the weather lately, but every time I washed my face, I felt like my skin texture was sandpaper. I tried scrubbing and applying face masks at home for exfoliation, but whenever I applied makeup, the sides of my nose and chin would cake up—it was a total mess. I decided I couldn't take it anymore, so I did a little searching and was surprised to find that exfoliation treatments are much more specialized than I thought.
Among exfoliation treatments, Aqua Peel is the easiest to start with; it really feels like it cleanses your pores. They say it effectively pulls out sebum, so your face definitely feels lighter. However, some say it's not recommended for people like me with sensitive skin who just want to get rid of dead skin cells. The next level up treatment is said to be a huge advantage because, unlike old-fashioned peels that caused breakouts and stinging, it dissolves dead skin cells without irritation, so you can go back to your daily life immediately after the procedure. I'm really struggling to decide on an exfoliation treatment.
