Do the characteristics of acne treatments differ depending on the type?
I started looking into acne treatments at dermatology clinics, but honestly, there are so many types that I don't know what's what. The more I search, the more new things I find, and the descriptions are all different. I'm worried about recurring inflammatory acne, and I'm not sure if the right treatment depends on whether the focus is on sebum control or inflammation relief.
Actually, I have some breakouts right now, and I'm wondering if I can get an acne treatment in this state or if I should wait until they subside. I've also seen mentions that certain aspects of acne treatments help prevent recurrence, and I'd like to know exactly how that works. I would be really grateful if those of you who have received treatment for similar concerns could share which aspects of the treatment were the most helpful!
