I get breakouts on my chin whenever my period approaches. Will it get better if I go to the hospital?
Am I the only one who gets this stressed out about my skin condition going wild every month when that time of the month approaches?
Usually, I get compliments on my skin texture and my base makeup applies quite well, but about a week before my period starts, painful, large pimples inevitably pop up around my chin and mouth.
I’m planning to go on a pop-up store tour in Seongsu-dong with my boyfriend this weekend, so I’m planning to visit a pretty cafe and take lots of four-cut photos.
But to make matters worse, a huge red pimple has settled right in the center of my chin since yesterday and throbs just from the slightest touch, so I'm totally depressed. In the past, I would have tried to squeeze it out with a cotton swab at home, only to end up bleeding and a dark scar from hyperpigmentation. But this time, I can't let a big scab form on my face right before a date, so I'm just holding it in and putting a soothing pad on it. However, it's bulging out so much that it won't even be covered by makeup, so it's obvious that the more concealer I apply, the messier it will look.
My friends told me that if I go to a dermatologist and get an anti-inflammatory injection or have a professional extract it properly, it disappears like magic in a day or two. I'm so curious if the results are really that dramatic!
I desperately need genuine reviews from those with experience on whether going to a hospital for extraction definitely leaves fewer scars, and whether you recommend an anti-inflammatory injection or basic extraction for first-time visitors.
