It seems like the more I wash my face, the more sensitive my skin becomes. Should I change my skincare routine?

세안을 열심히 할수록 오히려 피부가 더 예민해지는 것 같은데 관리 방향을 바꿔야 할까요?

Lately, I’ve been rethinking my cleansing routine because of my acne-prone skin. In the past, whenever I got breakouts, I assumed it was because my skin was too oily, so I used to wash really thoroughly morning and evening. Especially in the evening, I felt refreshed only after washing until my skin felt squeaky clean. However, at some point, I started finding that my skin feels tight after washing, and this oily feeling repeats itself after just a short while.

So, it suddenly occurred to me that washing my face too vigorously might be the problem. When managing acne-prone skin, are there cases where using products that are less irritating is better than those with strong cleansing power?

I keep having conflicting thoughts: I feel like I need to wash properly since I have breakouts, but I'm afraid touching it too much will make it even more sensitive lol.

Lately, I've been trying to keep my face washing frequency the same but make the routine as short as possible. Can my skin condition improve just by changing this?

For those of you who have received acne treatment, did they ask about your usual cleansing habits in detail during the consultation? Rather than adding anything extra to my skin, I would like to first try reducing the things I am currently doing excessively.

I am also wondering if it is correct to skip things like exfoliation or scrubs altogether, especially on days when my skin is breaking out.

Has anyone else, like me, ended up over-irritating their skin because they felt they had to wash thoroughly? For those of you who have simplified your cleansing habits and tried acne care, please let me know which method was actually easier for you!

  • 저도 뽀득하게 씻어야 개운했는데 요즘은 당기더라고요. 관리 방향 답변 같이 보고 싶네요.
