I have a red pimple on my forehead. Should I extract it?

I took a picture and the redness stands out more than the surrounding skin. I am wondering if it is better to just leave this acne alone or to get it extracted at a dermatologist's office.
I am not touching it because I am afraid that if I touch it, the inflammation might get worse or it might leave behind hyperpigmentation.
I’ve heard that depending on the type of acne, extraction is sometimes necessary and sometimes not. What criteria are used to determine this?
I heard that getting an anti-inflammatory injection helps it subside quickly, so I'm wondering if it can be used even for small pimples.
I would like to reduce the scarring if possible. Please let me know if there are any recommended treatment methods or precautions I should take.
