My skin feels more stuffy on days I wear makeup than on days I don't. Is my cleansing the problem?
I wear makeup almost every day on weekdays, but strangely, if I don't wear makeup for a few days on the weekend, my skin feels a bit more relaxed.
So lately, as I've been considering getting acne treatment, I've also been wondering if the problem might be my cleansing method rather than the makeup itself.
There are days when I use a cleansing product two or three times because I'm anxious about whether my base makeup has been removed properly. I thought it was important to remove it thoroughly, but I realized that doing it too excessively can be hard on the skin.
But I hate having leftovers even more lol. Finding the right balance is really the hardest part.
If I receive a consultation for acne skin care, may I also ask about the cleansing products you currently use and your makeup habits?
I usually use cleansing oil followed by a facial cleanser, and I do the same even on days when my breakouts are severe. I am wondering if I should adjust my routine slightly depending on my skin condition.
Also, are there many people who go back to their usual makeup the very next day after the treatment? I can't go without makeup for several days because of work, so the recovery period is important to me as well.
Rather than completely cutting out makeup, I want to find a way to minimize the burden on my skin while maintaining my daily routine.
If there are any of you who consistently receive acne skin care while wearing makeup every day, I am really curious to know how you settled on your cleansing routine!!
